NOOK books and NOOK Study eTextbooks are both types of eBooks, and both can be read with the NOOK Study eReader application. NOOK books are designed primarily for use with mobile readers (such as NOOK devices), and feature simpler layout and reflowable text. This allows text to be resized and "reflowed" so it can be read easily on smaller screens; however, this means that a page may contain more or less text than in the printed version of the book. NOOK Study eTextbooks are designed to support the advanced graphical layout typical of textbooks, so every chart, table, and image looks just like it does in the print version--each page has exactly the same layout as the printed textbook. This is ideal for use in classes where content is often referred to by page number. Due to their advanced layout features, NOOK Study eTextbooks are viewable only in the NOOK Study eReader application available for Mac and PC.
